For those of you that may not know

A red light showing means stop, it does not mean block the intersection because you think your kids may get to school 5 seconds earlier than if you would wait your turn. Some people are not turning off at the school, some of us go straight so we can get to work on time. However, even though I leave my house 20 minutes earlier I still have to rush to beat the time clock. This is ridiculous. People don't need to be complaining about gas money when every one and their mother decides they HAVE to drive their kids to school. I am sorry but I try to be at work everyday, I try to be on time, I have tried a couple of routes, but run into the same issues. I hoped that at least with a red light people would know what green vs red means. This is totally unnecessary and rude for those of us that are trying to go to work when ignort people sit in the middle of the intersection underneath a red light. I am not talking it turned red while they were there I am talking they went after the light changed and just sat there.

They sat in the middle of the intersection? Someone did that to me once blocking my way from Wal Mart to Black Diamond and I shrugged my shoulders and gave them the "what are you doing?" look and they backed up behind the line.

Just get ya big truck and I will fix it up so when this happens you can go ahead when your light turns green and move them out of your way with no damage to your vehicle, that'll teach'em.

well I don't have a BIG truck but I have a good sized truck lol....actually it was several times, I watched from the top of the hill where I sat in the middle of Wise for lord knows how long. People wanted to beat the light when they couldn't they just decided to go anyway, when traffic to the primary and middle schools backed up to a stand still they ended up in the middle of the road. I literally sat and watched them pull out after the lights were red trying to turn in to the school (the coming from the college way) KILLS ME!!! I leave my house 45 minutes before having to be at work, I live in BSG and I still have to rush and rush to get to work on time, there is no sense in people blocking others from getting to where they need to go as they drive their kids in the nightgowns and fuzzy slippers (while I know some have to go to work after wards, there are some that have nothing else to do but go home and do whatever-for some that means oxys) I don't know if it will be better when they get out of this heat schedule or not.

I understand completely, I don't even bother trying to go to the post office in the mornings on my way to work when school is in, I just jump on the bypass and straight on to work. Downtown Coeburn is a nightmare before and after school.

I also can't stand people complaining about gas prices and I have seen no decrease in the amount of traffic on the roads or any less people in Wal-Marts parking lot.

Parents of elementary school children should have to pass a test - what is "On time and basic rules of the road." Some of them have never been up before noon, and are the worst drivers -and the ones that are having *yawn* to get up for the first time, and take the kid to school are the real deal.

Re: For those of you that may not know

I used to keep my sons when I had days off during the week and would take them to school the next morning and it was just about crazy. Why are there even school buses running anymore? Seems like every kid rides to school.
